One of the foremost Brazilian pianists of his generation, Leonardo Hilsdorf has successfully performed in Brazil, the United States and Europe.
Acclaimed by the critics, his performances were hailed as "phenomenal" (Fuldaer Zeitung) and "charming and masterful" (L'Independent). He has studied with Wha Kyung Byun in the US, Claudio Mehner in Germany, and with Maria João Pires in Belgium.
Past and future engagements include, among others, appearances at Flagey and Bozar in Brussels, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Maison de la Radio in Paris and BeethovenHaus in Bonn, in addition to Sala São Paulo and Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro. He has extensivelly performed with all major orchestras in Brasil.
He was awarded the 1st prize in several international competitions in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Mexico and Brazil. He currentlly divides his time between Lisbon and London.
